Nah, me as Draco Malfoy?! Though he's TEH hottest, but I'd hardly find myself with any prejudices against anyone. Summary: Her eyes flew open, and she stifled a scream. She was staring into eyes a tinge of blue and gray... eyes with a depth she could feel herself falling into... The war rages on, and Hermione's attempt to commit suicide is thwarted. A tiny hint of perhaps-romance.
A/N: First one-shot I've ever written. Quite proud of the idea, though am uncertain over my grammar =S. There's no out-and-out romance-in-the-making here, but rather an abstract hope. Do read, and review! Though I've written more D/Hr, now, I'd like to know what you guys think of my first attempt ^^.

Got a 1000++ degrees Celsius flame for DoD, so gah. And I can't even twist it into a 'constructive criticism' because the author (anonymous, of course) just went on and on about the horridness of it. Well.

I've never had a proper 'everlasting' beta so far for my fics because, pigheaded as I am, I read through my works often enough. Still, I'm going to be spending lots more time on D/Hr fics once my exams are over, and for that I need someone who...
1) Has at least read Depths of Darkness,
2) Has written D/Hr before,
3) Has good grammar and vocabulary sense,
4) Is online frequently (and preferably has MSN but YIM is fine), and, lastly,
5) Is willing to not only look through my sentence structures and stuff, but also disuss with me the finer aspects, the plot details, how it goes & flows etc.

Sounds artsy? Well, it's a comm moderated by yours truly and miafitz, so feel free to join! I've noticed an increase postage in graphics at the d/hr comms, so the sole purpose is to gather Dramione fans who like artwork/graphics, and I'm encouraging you guys to post anything artistic you want!
Manips, wallpapers, icons, avatars, fanart and so on are very much welcome. You don't need to know how to do all the above if you want to join-- Just do, comment lots, and use it as a resource site (provided that the artists allow, of course!)

I've always thought H/Hr fics hard to write.
There's that factor of normalcy, I suppose. As in, well, if canon!Harry and canon!Hermione are so likely to get together (possibility only losing to R/Hr), then it takes something really interesting and good for a H/Hr fanfic to get my attention. With D/Hr, it's different. There are always new plots [for them to get together] to be cooked up, and there's always the challenge of trying to keep them in-character. With H/Hr you can't do anything new any much- rather, the good stuff depends on how you manipulate their behaviour, their characters, their actions into something that flows together right from the start of Book1 into your own piece of fanfiction.
I'm not making much sense...?
Anyhoo. Out of the tons of H/Hr fics I've been looking at, here are the three I'm really impressed with. And I'm pimping these authors' works, because they're really good, so go read them. I cried like crap while reading the first, and I was so glad I was home alone. Imagine me bawling at the computer screen!
